The new edition of the Little Islands Festival revisits the concept of community through the theme “Communality“. By artistically reinventing social identities, dominant myths and ideologies of the contemporary world, this year’s event traces the content of community by seeking threads of continuity from the past, and envisioning its qualities in the future.
From August 19 to 22, Little Islands Festival proposes an interactive multi-thematic program that invites the audience to go from being a spectator to a participant and co-creator in a journey full of images and sounds.
Short film and documentary screenings at the old primary school, video art in the courtyard of Loggia, musical journeys in the chapel of Agios Ioannis, animation and live AV performances in the central square, experiential workshops and happenings for children as well as parallel activities such as alternative digital tours open to the public throughout the festival.
Starting from the traditional settlement Kastro of Sikinos, every part of the island hosts an artistic activity and is transformed into a field of play, discovery and creation.
Free admission to all activities and screenings of the festival.
Join us in charming Sikinos for 4 summerish days full of sound and images!
