The fist edition of LIF was held on the island of Sikinos in August 2018.
Under the title ‘Something to Remember’, 57 works of artists from 23 countries were screened, tracking the meaning of Memory and how it shapes the collective and personal identity. Placed in key locations around the narrow streets of the settlement, documentaries, short films, animation and video art were screened. The audience had the opportunity to get acquainted with prominent Greek filmmakers during open talks and also to enjoy historical photographic and video material from the island of Sikinos itself, to appreciate the place they cross. The path between the screenings was enriched by soundscapes and the route every night finished with a video performance.
