Roots in the Wind, (2018), 2:52min

Roots in the Wind, haDé (SVK)

In this piece I explored the connection between my own traditional background which I grew up in in contradiction to how time passes and how the traditional music has transformed into something ancient. Even thought the memory still lives it feels like covered in sand and swept by the wind. Belonging only into the past. People used to sing these songs while working, spending time together, basically they were creating a sense of unity. It stopped.
The singing in the wind got blown away. Now people unite during the biggest protests in the history of our country. In the wind we can hear our voices.
Together. Again.
