MELTING (2017), 3:57min

MELTING, Louise Allain (SP)

This project explores the notion of architectural behaviour in contemporary society. A rhythm is being created between an individual and the space that surrounds it. The body is trying to break through and intensify the illusional aspect through its motion. While the structure is coming back in place, steady, static and linear, representing the political system and limited code of conduct nowadays. This video performance shows how modern architecture and contemporary social manners are impacting on our self regulations and individual limitations. How does our way of living leads our way of thinking and our way of remembering ? Does memory is still individual in this society ? Is it truly our body that remembers everything ? Or did we teach our body how to remember, how to behave or how to act ?
